A number of periodicals (journals) and serious magazines contain the
current research going on in Roman Archaeology. For the former there is
the periodical which deals explicitly with all of Roman Archaeology:
Journal of Roman Archaeology - annually since 1988 Then there are the periodicals which treat the archaeology of individual Roman provinces - e.g.:
Britannia, Dacia, Germania, Gallia, Syria, Aegyptus and others named for the province
Finally there are the magazines, glossy, in full colour but usually only
availble through subscriptions. They all cover archaeology in general
but each usually has at least one substantial and up-to-the-minute
items on Roman Archaeology. Most appear monthly or ever two months.
