Roman Archaeology Travel Scholarships

One of the objectives of the Roman Archaeology Group is to raise funds to support current students at UWA to participate overseas in Roman fieldwork opportunities or on an approved programme of research in Roman Archaeology. Details for the coming year are available at:
Roman Archaeology Travel Scholarships Initial scholarships were independently funded. Since 2006 a scholarship has been endowed annually through the generosity of Don Boyer as the "Don Boyer Roman Archaeology Travel Scholarship". Previous Scholarships have gone to:Karen Henderson and Felix Hudson (2004) - excavation at the Roman city of Tropaeum Traiani in Romania Anne Poepjes (2005) - field survey at Jarash, Jordan Rebecca Banks (2006) - excavation on a Roman period town on the island of Minorca, Spain (Don Boyer Travel Scholarship in Roman Archaeology) Martina Mueller (2007) (Shared) - Rebuilding the Past: examination of replicas and reconstructions of Roman period sites and structures in Northwest Europe (Don Boyer Travel Scholarship in Roman Archaeology) - Leonard Goulds (2007) (Shared) - reconstruction and replication of Roman military sites in Britain (Don Boyer Travel Scholarship in Roman Archaeology)
